We carried out asphalt surfacing across a driveway and access area on a residential site in Nailsea. The work created a continuous surface leading towards the properties, following the kerbed layout while construction continued elsewhere on the development.
Surfacing the access area
Our work covered the broad access route between the buildings and the surrounding site. We laid the asphalt within the established boundaries, following the changes in direction towards the properties.
A driveway of this scale needs to be considered as part of the site access layout. Its width, entrances and adjoining areas all influence the extent of the surfacing work.
Working around kerbs and access covers
The perimeter kerbs defined the edge of the asphalt. An access cover also sat within the surfaced area, forming another junction within the work.
These meeting points are part of the surfacing scope from the outset. They need attention alongside the open areas of asphalt, where the work is more straightforward.
A surfacing stage within the wider build
The asphalt was in place while nearby plots and external areas remained under construction. This marked progress on the access works, with the wider development still ongoing.
We provide driveway and access surfacing in Nailsea and the Bristol area, with groundwork and boundaries considered alongside the final surface.
