We carried out asphalt footpath surfacing beside a residential building in Keynsham. The route runs alongside the property before curving into the wider outdoor area, with edging defining the boundary between the asphalt and adjoining ground.
Surfacing a connected pedestrian route
Our task was to form a continuous surfaced path within the established layout. The straight section beside the building leads into a gradual bend, connecting the entrance area with the grounds beyond.
Working beside a building means considering the path together with neighbouring surfaces. In this case, the asphalt meets a separate paved area close to the property.
Finishing against the edging
We laid the asphalt within the path borders, following both the straight runs and the curve. These edges contain the surfaced area and define where later landscaping meets the route.
The footpath surface was in place while adjacent ground remained unfinished. Our scope at this stage was the surfaced route, with further work still to follow around it.
Asphalt paths and external works
For footpath projects in Keynsham and across the Bristol area, we discuss the route, adjoining paving and groundwork together. This helps establish the scope before selecting the finish for the space.
