Floor Membrane Detailing in Speedwell, Bristol

We carried out floor membrane detailing in Speedwell, Bristol, working around low masonry sections and changes in the building layout. The task centred on fitting the membrane at wall returns and joining the sections where the floor area changed shape.

Working around the masonry layout

We arranged the membrane beside and around several wall sections. The work included smaller returns and narrow areas, where the installation could not be treated as one uninterrupted sheet.

These junctions connect the main floor area with the building perimeter. Their position follows the masonry layout and needs to be considered alongside the surrounding construction.

Taping corners and intersections

Our work included taped connections where separate membrane sections met and where the installation turned around the blockwork. Those details formed a substantial part of this stage of the job.

The membrane system is selected as part of the project specification. Here, the scope was its installation around the masonry and the junctions within that layout.

Preparing the floor within the build sequence

The surrounding construction was still in progress. Membrane detailing formed one part of the floor preparation before later layers enclosed the work.

We provide floor preparation and associated building work in Bristol. For a new project, the wall layout, service positions and intended floor construction are useful starting points for discussing the scope.
