Concrete Base Preparation in Harry Stoke

We carried out concrete base work within an excavation in Harry Stoke. Our scope at this stage was the concrete surface at the bottom of the prepared area, with the surrounding earth and perimeter still exposed for the construction that would follow.

Forming the base within the excavation

We placed concrete across the rectangular base area. This brought the excavation forward to a defined concrete stage within the wider groundwork.

The base occupied the prepared footprint, meeting the perimeter of the excavation. Its role and build-up belong to the requirements for that individual construction detail.

Keeping the perimeter part of the work

The edges of the concrete met the surrounding excavation and perimeter material. Those junctions formed part of the task alongside placing concrete across the central area.

For work below ground, the relationship between the base, excavation and next structural stage matters. The scope needs to account for the whole prepared area, including its corners and boundaries.

Concrete groundwork before further construction

The base was an intermediate construction stage. It did not mark completion of the structure above it, which remained part of the wider programme.

We carry out excavation and concrete groundwork around Bristol. For a proposed base, the starting point is the intended use and project detail, together with the site access available.
